Wee Teck is a Member of Technical Staff in the
Computing Sciences Research Center
at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. He received his Ph.D in August 1999
from the University of Michigan, at Ann Arbor. His research interests include
operating systems, storage systems and main memory databases.

This is a earlier tech report version of the ASPLOS paper. The major
difference is that the ASPLOS version uses the new protection scheme
that forces all addresses through the TLB, whereas the tech report
version uses code-patching and consequently gets worse performance.
