Spanish Text-to-Speech Synthesis

This is the Bell Labs TTS system for Spanish. It is based on the speech of a speaker from Mexico. The bulk of the work on this system was done by Pilar Prieto.

The Castilian voice was originally done by Alejandro Macarrón, and was ported to our current TTS system with the help of Gorka Elordieta.

If you have trouble typing accented vowels, diaresis and other special characters, enter them as follows:

\a = á	\A = Á	\e = é	\E = É
\i = í	\I = Í	\o = ó	\O = Ó
\u = ú	\U = Ú	~u = ü	~U = Ü
~n = ñ	~N = Ñ	?? = ¿	!! = ¡
