Alcatel-Lucent nmake Product Builder
Using nmake with Eclipse
Documentation for using nmake with Eclipse. Eclipse is "an open source community whose projects are focused on building an extensible development platform, runtimes and application frameworks for building, deploying and managing software across the entire software lifecycle."
Alcatel-Lucent nmake plugin
An experimental plugin is available that supports the use of nmake with Eclipse, especially Eclipse CDT. Eclipse versions 3.3,3.4,3.5,3.6,3.7/CDT4.0,5.0,6.0,7.0,8.0 on Linux and Solaris platforms are supported. See the following pages for more information on obtaining and using the plugin:
- Alcatel-Lucent nmake Eclipse Plugin Update Site. Use this site for downloading and installing the plugin.
- Getting started with the nmake Eclipse Plugin. Describes how to download and install the plugin.
- Alcatel-Lucent nmake CDT Plugin User Guide. On-line version of the plugin help document.
Eclipse CDT
For C and C++ development. Setup for CDT without using the nmake plugin.
Other Eclipse Tools
- Using nmake with Eclipse JDT - for Java development*
- Using nmake with Eclipse TM - using the Remote System Explorer
*Although the setup for Eclipse JDT is presented in the context of Java development, the document actually describes a method for nmake integration using Eclipse external builders and external tools. Since Eclipse external builders and external tools are a general Eclipse platform feature and not specific to JDT, the approach described here may be easily adapted to non-JDT Eclipse projects.
